Hello World,
I am a person who aims to walk the path less chosen to see what kind of treasures I can stumble upon through this journey of life. For the last eighteen years, I have been married to my husband with whom I met while serving in the United States Army many, many years ago. We have been blessed with two healthy, joy-filled children.
My work experience consists of over seventeen years within the world of education and training. I have taught students ranging from kindergarten to post-secondary level. In college, I earned a BS and an MA in Education with emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction; I am certified teacher K-8, K-8 (all subjects self-contained), a language arts (Highly Qualified) rating for grades 6-8. Outside of being an Army veteran, I held management and curriculum/grant writing positions.
I have written and sold curriculum in various areas. I am the CEO of Unlock the Teacher LLC. We develop curriculum packages for districts, schools and industry. We develop and implement staff development modules in curriculum alignment and curriculum mapping to incorporate the new Common Core State Standards Initiatives. We have been successful in helping companies create and maintain Synergistic Social Network Platforms along with creating authentic and unique professional development plans to meet various needs.
One can locate me online collaborating at the following sites: www.unlocktheteacher.com, twitter- DBallWriter, unlocktheteacher.wordpress.com, deniseballwriter.wordpress.com, linkedIn or Facebook...I love to learn new things, to collaborate and excercise the patience virtue...find me and join the discussion. I look forward to hearing from you.
